Jeff and his spouse, Tamara, were raised in Southern Alberta, but they have chosen to establish their residence in Arizona. Family and athletics have consistently held significant value in his life. He thoroughly enjoys dedicating his time to coaching his children or spectating their activities. With a background as a former professional rodeo cowboy, Jeff possesses extensive expertise in coaching basketball, accumulating over two decades of experience in the field.
Jeff’s life has always been deeply intertwined with sports. He credits numerous valuable life lessons to his experiences as an athlete and the guidance of exceptional coaches during his formative years. Jeff’s sporting endeavors encompassed a wide range of disciplines, such as hockey, boxing, football, baseball, golf, basketball, rodeo, and more.
Jeff developed a deep passion for coaching due to several factors. It allows him to maintain a strong connection with the sports he adores, devise plans, strategize, implement strategies, educate, and foster relationships. Moreover, coaching has provided him with the chance to actively participate in his own children’s lives. Jeff has guided his kids’ teams in baseball, football, and basketball, but one of his most cherished coaching memories is mentoring his daughter, Tia, throughout her high school journey in Arizona.
After completing his studies with a specialization in Entrepreneurship, Jeff was presented with a lucrative job offer from a bank. Nevertheless, Jeff’s true passion at that time lay in his Professional Rodeo career. Eventually, he reconsidered and embraced the position at ATB Financial.
Jeff swiftly ascended the corporate hierarchy and was entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing his own branch in Cardston AB. As a comprehensive service manager, he not only supervised the branch operations but also collaborated with numerous farming and business clients, thereby affording him the chance to observe and gain insights from a diverse range of entrepreneurs.
Jeff was present in the office of a banking client named Dal Zemp when he came across a catalogue of manufactured stones lying on Dal’s desk. This led Jeff to leave the bank and join hands with Dal to establish a manufacturing company that would produce artificial stone veneers. The duo inaugurated their first factory in Cardston AB in 2005 and followed it up with the opening of their second factory in Springville UT in 2006. Over time, they also ventured into natural stone, brick, acrylic stucco, and other materials, and even set up their own retail outlets.
Jeff’s passion for entrepreneurship, sports, and assisting others in achieving success has propelled him to a stage in his life where he can pursue his true calling. He remains dedicated to assisting athletes in enhancing their mental fortitude and achieving their utmost capabilities through The Confident Athlete Program. This program holds a special place in his heart as it not only enhances athletes’ performance in their beloved sport but also imparts valuable life lessons that will accompany them in all their future endeavors.
